Institute Membership

 

The Institute stands as a bridge between the two campuses of Columbia University, the Health Science Campus and the Morningside Heights Campus, and by recruiting to the Institute the participation of the biologists uptown and the computer scientists, circuit engineers, and system analysts downtown represents many diverse approaches to studying neuroscience. The faculty of this Institute is chaired by Tom Jessell and Eric Kandel uptown, and Rafa Yuste downtown, and will include Richard Axel, Randy Bruno, Gerald Fischbach, Rene Hen, Joy Hirsch, Michael Goldberg, Daniel Salzman, Steven Siegelbaum, and Scott Small.
